Kuzmych O. Contract for the Benefit of a Third Party in the Civil Law of Ukraine

The thesis is dedicated to the analysis of the jural nature of the contract for the benefit of a third party in the civil law of Ukraine. The paper suggests the research into the essence of the contract for the benefit of a third party and its correlation with other related legal frameworks. The author reveals the peculiarities of the subject composition of the contract, the content of the rights and responsibilities of the parties of the contract, that is questions concerning the change and dissolution of the contract, the possibility of the person who has concluded the contract to take advantage of the right abandoned by the third party, etc. The legal effects of the breach of obligations according to the regarded contract were analyzed. The paper suggests the analysis of the legal regulation of certain types of contracts for the benefit of a third party, namely: property management contract, life maintenance (care) contract, bank deposit contract, insurance contracts. On the basis of the conducted research the conclusions and proposals were made concerning the improvement of the legislation of Ukraine in the sphere of the legal regulation of contracts for the benefit of a third party
