Essay

The dissertation deals with the space nominations system analysis in the Ukrainian folk songs. The notion of space as a universal language and world view structure has been characterized. The peculiar features of the space category have been found out in the fields of philosophy, natural sciences, literature studies, linguistic semiotics, anthropological linguistics, and linguistic folklore studies. The distinctive features of the space lexical semantic field (LSF) in the Ukrainian folk songs language world map have been pointed out.
