Novytska V. Gender socialization: sociological conception and practice.

Dissertation is devoted the sociological analysis of gender socialization of personality. Basic sociological conceptions which became subsoil for development of researches of gender's identity and socialization of personality are analyzed. Mechanisms and practices of functioning of such practices of gender socialization are considered in dissertation, as family, school education and mass-media in the translation of gender stereotypes and pattern of conduct of teenagers in Ukrainian society. It is set that in Ukrainian society which is now transformed, the hybrid model of gender's socialization which is characterized combination at the same time of traditional (androcentric) and modern (leveller) gender roles takes place, codes of conduct, stereotypes, presentations about masculinity/femininity.
