This work illustrates the influence of the polymorphism of the ACE gene on functional state of endothelium of senior patients witsuffering from hypertension. It was found out that carriers of allele D, compared with homozygote II, have higher effectiveness of enalapril that combines there with the improvement of endothelium function. The correlation between the effectiveness of enalapril and microsomal oxidation activity in the liver was detected. It was also shown that the lower effectiveness of enalapril of senior patients suffering from hypertension is associated with the oppression of enzyme activity of liver. The possibility of antihypertensive effectiveness of enalapril increase with the usage of additional hepatoprotectors.
