Hnylyakevych I. The Microeconomic Analysis of Regulation of Natural Monopolies' Activity in Ukraine.

The thesis focuses on the problems of regulation of natural monopolies’ activity in Ukraine. The modern theoretical approaches to defining the notion of a “natural monopoly” are categorized. The evolution of views generated from various economic schools and trends in an economic thought concerning natural monopolies and the peculiarities of their functioning in economy is highlighted The specific features and patterns of state regulation towards the natural monopolies in Ukraine are investigated. The methods of regulation of natural monopolies’ in a market economy are analyzed. Practical recommendations toward the efficiency improvement for natural monopolies’ activity in a domestic economy are suggested.
