Riabovolenko I. Ancient Words Functional Peculiarities of Modern Japanese Language.

The dissertation is devoted to research of ancient words functional peculiarities in the modern Japanese language on the materials of its functioning in different linguistic styles. The research theme is carried out by studying the linguistic situation concerning ancient words in Ukrainian, Russian, English and Japanese languages. The dissertation is based on administrative, military vocabulary, nomenclatural terminology, toponyms, iterated poetic toponyms which are functioning in literature, tanka poems, translated into English Taras Shevchenko's poems. The main attention in the dissertation is paid to studying on the mentioned types of ancient words in synchronism and diachronic aspects; to adding meanings of ancient words, researching cognitive meanings of ancient words which functioning in modern Japanese language; and also to researching iterated gairaigo in fiction.
