Kykhtiuk O. Psychological peculiarities of forming ethnic tolerance in student youth

The thesis is focused on the issue of forming ethnic tolerance in students. Personal centered approach incorporating individual-psychological, social-psychological, developmental and systemic-psychological principles serves as a basis for studying ethnic tolerance. These principles' consideration allows constructing a conceptual model of ethnically tolerant personality bearing cognitive, affective, and conative components. The significant correlation ties between ethnic tolerance indices and peculiarities of cognitive, motivational and emotional personality spheres have been revealed. The ties prove the necessity of designing a program aimed at forming ethnically tolerant personality on the basis of personality centered approach.
