Butskiy V. Activator drum-roll type continuous action for the complexes for the production of building products

The dissertation on the acquiring of scientific degree of candidate of technical sciences on the speciality 05.05.02 - Machines for the production of building materi-als and constructions.- Kharkiv state technical university of civil engineering and ar-chitecture, Kharkiv, 2010. The thesis is devoted to research and reveal the interaction between the roller and a thick layer of the mixture in the drum-roll activator equipped with guiding ele-ments used to control the thickness of mixture layer, the velocity of movement of the mixture along the activation camera and the quantity of cycles of rolling layer under the roller. Revealed regularities of the activation process by repeatedly compression a thick layer of wet mixture by rolling under the roller and the following loosening by knife. The characteristic feature of the researched activator is the presence of zones the heightened pressure in place of loading and under each of guiding elements. Proved the using of activation intensity index, which is equal to the product of the quantity of rolling cycles on the maximum pressure, as a criterion of the effectiveness of rolling activators. The dependencies for determining the activation intensity index were given with considering the distribution of density and pressure along the activation camera. Proposed method of using the given dependencies to select such parameters of the activator, which will provide the required level of activation intensity index. The dependencies for the development of a new design for a loosening knife, based on analysis of regularities loosening compressed layer, were given. By production tests the positive effects of the activator were identified and con-firmed: the twofold increase in the strength of wares from the activated mixture or decreasing amount of cement, increasing raw strength of wares, the ability to reduce the pressure of the half-dry pressing or the intensity of vibropressing, high mixing possibility.
