The work presents psychological, linguistic and methodological principles of forming the culture of communication in the pupils of the 5th and 6th forms at Ukrainian language lessons; it is analyzed methods and means of their realization; specified the concept "the culture of communication"; determined the main components of the formation of the culture of communication; taken into consideration the requirements of the program, capabilities of existing textbooks, data of the tests which show the level of pupil's knowledge, state of such kind of work at Ukrainian language lessons in secondary education institutions; worked out, scientifically motivated and experimentally verified the content, methods, forms and ways of training activity directed on the formation of the culture of communication in the pupils of the 5th and 6th forms at Ukrainian (native) language lessons.
