. Object of investigation: diffuse non - toxic goiter (DNTG), optimization of the treatment. The aim of investigation: to define clinical efficacy of echodopplerografy of thyroid gland for optimization of the determination of potassium iodide treatment for the patients with DNTG, taking into account iodine deficiency. Methods and apparatus of investigation: general clinical, instrumental (sonography, echodopplerografy of thyroid gland), immune assay(ELISA), statistical, ultrasound methods Aloka SSD-1700, "Ecom 1"-"ionomer universal EV-74". Theoretical and practical results: complex estimation of the ioduria, blood flow velocity, arterial wall resistance in thyroid gland in patients with DNTG, living in the territory of light iodine deficiency, were carried out. Materials of investigation give the evidence that preparations of iodide should be given the leading place in the treatment of DNTG. Acceleration of the blood flow and decreasing of arterial wall resistance give the evidence of normalization of the circulation in thyroid gland with the help of preparations of iodide. Method of echodopplerografy of thyroid gland is convenient noninvasive method of control of the effectiveness and duration of the treatment in patients with diffuse non-toxic goiter. Novelty: as a result of data generalization, received from the investigation of the ioduria, volumometry and dopplerografy of thyroid gland, in the patients with DNTG it was established that decreasing of the blood flow and acceleration of arterial wall resistance occur in the thyroid gland in the patients of all age groups, sex makes no difference. Correlation between levels of thyroid-stimulating hormone and index of vessel's resistance was established. Degree of implementation: data, received are implemented in the practice of the Kyiv City Clinical Center of Endocrinology and Metabolism. Field of use: endocrinology.
