This thesis focuses on the originally worked-out conception of A. S. Griboyedov's Travel to Kiev and to the Crimea which had marked a new period in his course of life and creative stand. The scientific-critical examination of works, which deal with study of A. S. Griboyedov's "south" travel, is carried out for the first time in this thesis. Previous ideas of his milieu in Kiev and in the Crimea are specified and some details are added. A. S. Griboyedov's Crimean "hypochondria" is explained in a new way. General description of dramaturgic triptych from Old Russian history and its key part - tragedy about Prince Vladimir Svyatoslavovich - are reconstructed for the first time. The main role of the Crimean diary in process of Griboyedov's creative evolution is substantiated. It is shown in the thesis how Griboyedov's travel southwards influenced upon the emotion of his poem "Beasts of Prey on Chegem". So interpretation of A. S. Griboyedov's travel southwards is argued as a marquee event in his destiny. This travel influenced the system of his life (social and spiritual) guidelines and all the aspects of the creative (drama, lyric, epic) heritage.
