Samosiyna O. Substantiation of prevention and treatment principals of climacteric syndrome in women with uterine leiomyoma.

This work highlights risk factors and typical clinical features of climacteric syndrome in women with uterine fibroids depending on the characteristics and manifestations of the later ones. It was found that in women with uterine leiomyoma climacteric syndrome more often occurs in case of symptomatic multinodular tumors of submucosal and intramural localization, most often of moderate size having active vascular supply, low resistance indexes and due to general dyshormonal state. Basing on the results of clinical examination it was revealed that the major cause of climacteric syndrome in women with leiomyoma is the activation of stress-realizing system while leading symptoms of climacteric syndrome are pathopsychological manifestations such as fatigability, low working capacity, irritability, memory decline, inattention and oncophobia. Advisability of differential approach to the management of climacteric syndrome depending on the level of climacteric disturbances as well as size, number and localization of nodes in patients with uterine leiomyoma was substantiated.
