Essay

The thesis is devoted to the solving of the actual task of modern medicine and pathological physiology - to the shortening of bacterial vaginosis relapses at females of reproductive age by means of their endocrine status correction. It is established that endocrine disturbances (hypoinsulinemia, hypoestrogenemia and hyperthyroidism) serve the basis for the re-cidivating of bacterial vaginosis. It is established that glycogen in vaginal epithelial cells is significantly decreased and total protein count is insignifi-cantly increased in females with recidivating bacterial vaginosis and endocrine disorders. It is shown that usage of insulin, ovestin and their combination additionally to the standard therapy of bacterial vaginosis in females with hypoinsulinemia, hypoestrogenemia and their combination helps to shorten the manifestations of endocrine disorders, to increase the intracellular content of glycogen in epitheliocytes, to normalize the species spectrum and quantitative content of autochthonous acid-producing microorganisms and vaginal pH, and also to shorten the quantity of relapses.
