Essay

Object - the process of radar impulse scattering by sea surface and tropospheric irregularities. The purpose - to create refined models of spatio-temporal and spectral characteristics of passive interferences in the form of backscattering from rough sea surface at sliding angles and tropospheric irregularities ("angel-echo") on the base of experiments in various frequency bands. Methods - radio-wave propagation and scattering theory, radiolocation theories, theory of random processes and mathematical statistics, experiment design theories, mathematical modeling theories. Results - development and design of a multi-frequency radio-locating measurement system to perform field survey of spatio-temporal and spectral characteristics of passive interferences; development of new and improvement of the existing algorithms for surface target detection by means of passive interferences compensation; development and creation of a specialized processor radar as part of a standard navigation radiolocation station. It is introduced - in standard radiolocation stations of the Black Sea Fleet, in the developmental work performed at Kvant-Radiolokatsiya Research Institute (Kyiv), as well as in equipment manufacturing by the research and development enterprise "Taifun" Instrument-Making Plant (Kaluga, the Russian Federation). Sphere of application - navigation radiolocation stations
