Essay

The object of research is electromagnetic processes in cold-cathode spatial-harmonic magnetrons. The aim of the research is to investigate properties and characteritics of different types of cold-cathode spatial-harmonic magnetron startup. The method of research is numerical modeling. Operation of auxiliary thermionic cathode was theoretically investigated under different temperature modes for the first time. Theory of cold-cathode spatial-harmonic magnetron startup by an external RF signal and anode voltage modulation was proposed. Influence of secondary emission yield on processes in magnetron was defined. Application area is Physical Electronics.
