Essay

Subject of inquiry is the process operation of bored piles with antifriction coating installation in type II collapsible soil. Thesis objective is the process engineering of bored piles (up to 10 m long) installation in type II collapsible soil of megapolises, agricultural and livestock enterprises, food plants. Research methods: Delphi method and general systems theory were used while substantiating and selecting factors that influence the properties of hydrophobized soil; mathematical statistics and model engineering methods were used for experimental evidence processing; analysis and synthesis - for the development of new constructional process solutions which applied obtained theoretical and experimental results in practical projects. Theoretical and practical results: technical and process design details were developed and scientifically based. Their use substantially increases the operational life of bored piles in type II collapsible soil. Limiting values of operational parameters and factors were singled out experimentally and analytically. These factors and parameters provide a means of obtaining the most efficient (in terms of implementation) processing sequence of bored piles installation. The process engineering of bored piles with a layer of hydrophobized soil installation in type II collapsible soil was worked out and practically implemented. Novelty of the research: for the first time the use of a hydrophobized soil layer was suggested in bored piles installation (in the capacity of protection against corrosive soil medium); simulative dependences (with confirmed experimental data) of a hydrophobized soil layer impact on bored piles antifriction coating over the operation time were determined; procedures of process operation were proved and limiting values of operational parameters while installing bored piles with a hydrophobized layer in type II collapsible soil were experimentally discovered (and further developed); for the first time processing sequence of bored piles installation in type II collapsible soil with the use of a hydrophobized soil layer was worked out. Implementation extent: we devised the manufacturing plan and implemented the process engineering of bored piles with a hydrophobized layer installation in type II collapsible soil while constructing the conveyor shop in the plant producing trucks "ISUZU" ("Bohdan" corporation in Cherkasy). Owing to the use of cheaper protection method against negative effect of soil medium in comparison with the conventional technology the economic effect calculations onsite made 292 922 UAH (2,176 UAH in recalculation for 1 bored pile). Range of application: construction and assembly works of the underground cycle.
