Magas N. Semantics and Structural Types of Sentences with Mental Predicates.

For the first time in modern Ukrainian language semantic expressions of sentences with mental predicates from the point of view of paradigmatics and syntagmatics were comprehensively characterized. Depth criteria for differentiation of predicate symbols was deepened; principles of typological characteristics of these units by semantic-syntactical analysis were established. Taking into account sygnificative and denotative meaning of the unit (meaning and function) several ambiguities for admission predicate to a particular type were resolved. In the paper semantics and structural types of sentences with mental predicates are analyzed, for this reason lexical card index of Dictionary of Ukrainian language in 11 Volumes, as well as fixing sentences with mental predicates on the text materials of Ukrainian literature of the XIXth - beginning of the XXIst centuries, printed media are used as a source for research. A new attempt in classification of sentences with mental predicates on the logical-semantic basis is made; differential features of mental syntaсtic seme are defined, but also structures in which they function are analyzed on semantic, semantic-syntactical, formal-grammatical, functional and communicative levels. From the point of determining role of the predicate with its valance-intensive features of semantics in a simple sentence syntactical structure minimum-informative content of a sentence structure is determined, subject and object syntactic semes are characterized, main types of semantic syntax structures of sentences with mental predicates complicated by doublet, adverbial modifier or dependent infinitive are found out. Faced as an open source of information, dissertation extends scientific interests of young researchers in the field of semantic syntax.
