Vehesh A. Traditions and innovation of the Ukrainian literary-fiction antroponymy of the posttotalitarian era.

Thesis makes the first attempt to include the significant factual material into the scientific circulation, it also gives an unfolded complex analysis of the literary-fiction antroponymy in the prose works of the modern Ukrainian writers of the posttotalitarian era (P. Zahrebelnyj, R. Ivanychuk, J. Mushketyk, J. Andrukhovych, M. Matios, L. Deresh, M. Hrymych, S. Zhadan, V. Kozhelianko, I. Rozdobudjko and others). Over 4300 proper names of the literary heroes and its variants are involved into the analysis procedure. Thesis makes an attempt to find out the main and side tendencies of development of the literary-fiction antroponimicon of the posttotalitarian era. The investigation of the essence of the proper names of the literary heroes in the works of the modern writers included the analysis of the composition and structure of the proper names of the literary heroes and discovering the semantic and stylistic characteristics and functions of the proper names of the literary heroes. Thesis elucidates that onomastics vocabulary of the researched literary texts is an important literary-expressive mean and distinct marker of the individual writer's style.
