The dissertation is devoted to definition of the basic laws of metalforming by using the ring conic tool and also to definition of deformation conditions for maximum approach of form and sizes of the forged piece to the finished product and creation of new technology of production of forged piece type details "a disk with ledge" The analysis and comparison of the received results of experimental researches by using the ring conic tool with subsequent upset in the bottom spacing ring and the data received by mathematical modeling by the software "Forge3" have been made. By results of experimental and theoretical researches of forging with using the ring conic tool technological recommendations about application of a new way for reception forged pieces for details named "disks with ledges" and "a disk-gear conic" at which diameter of a disk and ledge height considerably exceed height of a cloth of a disk have been developed. The ring conic tool of the difficult form it was used as the designed semistamp for forged pieces production for railway wheels for preliminary redistribution of metal volume before final stamping with the purpose of optimization of the technological process.
