Essay

The thesis examined the relationship between ethnic identity and social integration of multicultural region, which acquire new meaning under the influence of changes in modern Ukrainian society. On the basis of theoretical and empirical study of ethnic identity is considered as basic factor balanced system of social integration. Proved that ethnic identity provides a necessary balance in the system of natural and created (artificial) identities, preventing the destruction of social and economic integration and political means.
