Object: S.Lem's fictional prose, his literary critical works, film interpretations of his novels and the author's evaluations of the visual interpretations of his artistic world. Purpose: to analyze the main regularities of the film interpretation of the literary work, outline S.Lem's fictional world peculiarities in the reinterpretations of film producers. Methods: hermeneutical, receptive criticism, phenomenological. Practical value: for further hermeneutical intermediate researches, as well as educational courses on theory of literature, comparative literature, foreign literatures (special courses on Polish literature including), and for writing manuals, handbooks and other literary studies books.
