Essay

The research aim. Investigation of the composition of cryoprotective medium and cooling way of fish embryos, providing their vitrification and preservation of moprhofunctional characteristics of this biological object. The research object. Cryopreservation of the embryos of rare and endangered fish species. Research methods. Biophysical, morphometrical, embryological, cryobiological and statistical methods of analysis. There has been developed an original freezing method for loach embryos in cryoprotective medium, comprising 3% PEO-1500, 10% EG, 20% 1,2-PD and 30% sucrose, at the stage of heart beating, during which almost 100% vitrification of embryos take place. There have been determined the conditions of thawing of preliminary cooled by means of this way down to the temperature of liquid nitrogen of loach embryos, under which the duration of the survival of embryos after their thawing makes 6-10 hrs.
