Smetana S. Eco-security improvement of areas destructed by mining activities with application of ecosystem formation directed accelerated methods

The thesis is devoted to the development of eco-security improvement methods of mining destructed areas of Kriviy Rih Iron Ore Basin with the help of accelerated formation of directed ecosystems with significant biodiversity. Methodical complex of zoning trigrams, ecological classification of industrial landscapes, lithogeochemical flows management is a base for rapid directed creation of vegetation with dense cover and biodiversity, which would reduce the level of environmental danger to medium in 9-10 years and the risk of destructed mining areas dust production in 2,5-5 times. Basic results of research are examined on the enterprises of Kryvyi Rih Iron Ore Basin: OJSC "Ingulets mining and processing integrated plant", OJSC "Nadezhda" and accepted for the use in the projects of "Ukrrudprom" association, SPI "Kryvbassproekt", Kryvyi Rih Botanical Garden of NASU, Institute of Nature Management Problems and Ecology of NASU. The use of the offered recommendations on the enterprises of Kryvyi Rih Iron Ore Basin allows to get considerable ecological, social, and also economic effects.
