The dissertation research is devoted to theoretical generalization and new decision of scientific problem of psychological peculiarities of teacher-tutor as a condition of effective students's socialization. In work іt is shown that the educational socialization of students is the leading goal of the university tutor's activity. The group of students as a collective subject, which is mediated through socializing impact on the personality of the student, іs the main object of his academic work. Developed in dissertation the conceptual model of psychological qualities of effective teacher-tutor produces connections of the tutor's functions in the educational process with his psychological features. Based on empirical research the psychological typology of effective and ineffective tutors was established; the psychological portrait of a reference tutor was designed, the guidelines for optimization of the teacher-tutor were developed.
