In the dissertational research the role and value of the information is examined in work of the customs at the modern stage of development. Different approaches to understanding of the information were analysed and the determination of the customs information was offered. The notion of the the dataware of the custom house was defined and the perspective directions of it's improvement: the introduction of "electronic customs", the development of the electronic declaring, the cooperation revival between customs administrations of the country
