Gutyanskyi R. Yield and soybean seed quality by combiningchemical and agricultural weed protection practices in the eastern part of Forest-Steppe of Ukraine

Object: formation of grain yield and seed quality in soybeans by using different methods for weed control in its plantings. Aim: optimization of weed control methods in soybean plantings under the soil-climatic conditions of the eastern part of the Forest-Steppe of Ukraine. Methods: field, laboratory, calculated-mathematic. Novelty: for the first time in the conditions of the eastern part of the Forest-Steppe of Ukraine there is stated the influence of a wide range of herbicides in the combination with agrotechnical means for weed control on grain yield and seed quality of soybeans; tolerance of soybean plants to soil herbicides and influence of chemical preparations on nitrogen-fixing nodules are revealed; competition ability of soybean varieties with different vegetative periods related to weeds is estimated. The number of inter-ron tillage during care of crops is optimized; some elements of soybean growing technology are improved. Results: competition ability of soybean varieties related to weeds is stated; weed control techniques are worked out; power and economical efficiency of the elements of soybean growing technology is evaluated. Application stage: the results of the investigations are checked and introduced into production at Ustimovka Experimental Station for Plant Production of Globinskiy district, Poltava Oblast and EF "Elithnoye" of Kharkovskiy district of Kharkov Oblast on the total area of 260 ha that ensured soybean yield at the level of 1,82 - 2,25 t/ha. Application area: agricultural enterprises of all forms of property.
