The thesis covers the problems of efficiency increase of discovery of emergency gas leak, reducing gas losses during the period of taking out of service and starting the repair of a main gas pipeline section and efficiency increase of pneumatic tests planning of the repaired sections. It is improved the differential model of transient nonisothermic gas flow on the gas line section. It is modified aggregate-imitation method of calculation of the gas-transport systems of any configuration. It is proved the possibility of realization of accident-free gas pipeline operation control using the mathematical model data. It covers the possibility of saving of gas emergency losses on main pipelines of complicated configuration by the efficient operating of stop valve. The comparison of modeling data with measuring equipment data of present main gas pipeline is conducted. The experimental measuring of the pressure change dynamics in a vessel during its emptying into the atmosphere are studied and flow coefficient is defined.
