The dissertation determines the peculiarities of semic structure of lexical-and-semantic groups of verbs of appraisal mode of action; defines the criteria of their singling out in modern Ukrainian language; describes the valency and functional parameters of lexical-and-semantic groups of verbs of broken softening action, process softening action, process accompanying and complicated intensive action; gives structural patterns of sentences formed by verbal predicates with the meaning of appraisal weakening action; reveals stylistic possibilities of verbs of appraisal mode of action.
