Dissertation is devoted to the problem of forming students' productive thought in the process of studying physics at basic school in the conditions of introducing new standards in physics. The analysis of literature in psychology, education, and methodology has enabled to describe the means of forming students' productive thought. The methods of forming students' productive thought have been illustrated by traditional and new educational technologies used in studying the electric and magnetic phenomena at basic school. The developed methodology has been proved by the results of the experimental work and has been used at basic school.
