Balatska O. Forming the Institution of Consolidation of Political Elite in Modern Ukraine.

In the thesis the complex analysis of the problem of consolidation of political elite in modern Ukraine is made in the aspect of transformation of political system.The modernization role of the political elite is researched. It is grounded, that the consolidation of the elite on the principles of democratic institutions, norms, values and procedures is the essential condition modernization. Taking into consideration the necessity of increasing the effectiveness of the political process the substation model of the modernization of the elite is suggested. Forms and principles of interelital intercourse are analyzed. Factors of the formation of the institution of democratic consolidation such as institutional, procedural and political and cultural are defined and classified. The leading role of the coalitional resource and consensus in the increasing of consolidation potential of political elite. The staging of forming the consolidation principles is suggested. Prospective directions of future development of the institution of interelital consolidation are grounded.
