Vypasnyak H. The Hagiographic Motives of Antient Ukrainian Literature in Modern Ukrainian Prose: Reception, Transformation.

The thesis is devoted to the investigation of special features of reception and transformation of hagiographic motives in modern Ukrainian prose. Works of V. Drozd, K. Motrych, V. Shevchuk, some works of J. Andruhovuch, E. Gutsalo, T. Malyarchuk, L. Ponomarenko, T. Prohas'ko, O. Shugaj are taken into consideration.The reinterpretation of hagiographic genre traditions in works of Ukrainian and foreign writers is reviewed. Motives modified more than others in modern Ukrainian prose also pecularities of hagiographic homily, sacral time and space, category of miraculous are classified and analyzed. The selection of main directions of hagiographic motives transformation based on analyze of philosophical themes, poetry, style of researched works is.made.
