Essay

This thesis deals with the study of Christian component in Pavlo Tychyna's poetic thinking in the period of 1906-1929. The religious Ukrainian poetry of the first quarter of the 20th century which provides a wide context for the early period of the poet's creative work has been analyzed. The peculiarities of the poet's thinking have been examined in the light of the Gospel teaching about "the trinity" of man and works by H. Skovoroda. The role of insight in the formation of the artistic space of the author of "Sunny clarinets" with its aesthetic meaningful categories of God, man, life, death and future has been proved. Biblical images of the artistic system of Pavlo Tychyna's early period of creative work, their opposition and evangelical themes of prayer, faith, the Crucifixion and rejection which in general prove the influence of Christianity on his way of thinking are interpreted in the context of the Scriptures.
