The dissertation is devoted to the development of the rational approach for the efficient location of the urban passenger transport stations, which ensures the minimum total costs to the society and considers the safety of vehicles and pedestrians. To accomplish this tasks: the scientific approaches to the efficient location of the urban passenger transport stations has been analyzed; the target function has been formulated; the mathematical model of optimal route length of the urban public passenger transport has been elaborated; the influence of the urban passenger transport factors on the route length ensuring the minimum total cost to the society has been investigated; the criterion for the determination of urban public passenger transport station location within the intersection of streets and roads has been suggested; the recommendations for the location of the urban public passenger transport station has been developed. The suggested approach for determining the efficient location of the urban passenger transport stations can minimize the society's cost in the planning of the integrated transport system and choose relatively safe locations at the intersections of streets and roads.
