Essay

Object of study is the processes of quality management at enterprises. Subject of study is the scientific and methodical principles of managing the production quality at metallurgical enterprises from view of the system and process approaches. The following methods have been used in the study: methods of a historical approach, analysis and synthesis, system approach, scientific abstractions, graphical and mathematical modeling, experts' estimates and ranging. Scientific novelty of the study is the improvement of methods for managing production on the basis of elaboration of scientific and methodical principles of the system and process approaches to quality management. Theoretical significance of the results is a generalization and solution of such an important task as the elaboration of scientific and methodical principles of the system and process approaches when resolving the problems concerning management of enterprises from view of today's quality management. The author has improved the concept of formation of the system of production quality management that is based on formalization of production processes in the system of quality management, specification of personnel responsibility sphere, estimation of processes quality and effectiveness of managerial activity. The methodical approach to systematization of production system processes in the form a ternary model has been also improved; on the basis of the latter the typology of production structure has been elaborated for managing production's life cycle that in contrast to existent ones combines the managerial activity and production in the three-dimensional space. A functional-process system was designed that it will allow calculation of the level of quality management system's integration into total management. The study offers a management cycle that consists of planning, organization, regulation, verification, improvement stages and forms a functional-process production system. Practical importance of the study's results is the solution of urgent tasks aimed at enhancing the efficiency of managerial activity due to realization of methodical measures aimed at enhancing the efficiency of quality management systems and efficiency of management processes. The recommendations and approaches elaborated have found a practical application in operation of the enterprises in Donetsk region, in particular SE "Donetsk Scientific-Production Centre for Standardization, Metrology and Sertification", CSC "Donetskstal" - Metallurgical Plant". Sphere of application - enterprises of the metallurgical complex.
