The dissertation is devoted to the problems of the theory and practise of speech therapy staff training in the Ukraine in the second half of the twentieth century. The study revealed the social economical, social political and pedagogical factors that influenced the theory and the practise of speech therapy staff training in the Ukraine, the main trends and peculiarities of formation and the development of the theory and practise of speech therapy staff training in the Ukraine in a special historical period. In a study to determine the contribution of the theory and practise of speech therapy staff training in the Ukraine in the education of children with impaired language development, first developed by the author's periodization based on historical and comparative analysis of educational data. In scientific use introducing little known and previously unused archival materials and historical facts associated with the theory and practise of speech therapy staff training in the Ukraine in the second half of the twentieth century.
