In the thesis complex analysis of the problem of electoral technologies effectiveness is conducted, scientific criteria of its evaluation are defined and main factors affecting the effective implementation of electoral technologies in Ukraine are determined. Some main methodological principles for the investigation of electoral technologies are systematized and the author's approach to the interpretation of this concept is given. The evolution of electoral technologies is described with the definition of its periods and determined place and part of the electoral technologies in the electoral process.
