Strilets V. Project work methods of teaching English to future programmers using information technologies.

The thesis focuses on the problem of project work methods of teaching English to future programmers in educational information and communications environment. The objectives and content of teaching English to future programmers have been specified, the principles of project work methods have been summarized, types of projects relevant to programmers’ professional activity have been developed. Information technologies’ potential in project work has been revealed, the requirements to the distance course for individual work have been described, its structure and content have been specified. The system and corresponding complex of exercises have been worked out. The model of teaching-learning process has been created. The effectiveness of the suggested methodology was verified and confirmed during the experimental teaching. Methodological recommendations on how to organize the process of teaching English to future programmers through project work using the distance course have been developed.
