The dissertation deals with a study of the characteristics of the functional condition of the kidneys, the courses of oxidative stress in case of a surgical treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia and perfecting nephroprotective therapy with renal dysfuncrion due to benign prostatic hyperplasia. The research presents the results of a multimodality examination and treatment of 150 patients with benign prostatic hyperplasia. At his been established that the test with isotonic water loading enables to diagnose early disturbances of the functional condition of the kidney in case of benign prostatic hyperplasia. At his been ascertained that there occurs an abatement of the activity of all the components of the blood fibrinolytic activity during surgical stress. The blood content of diene conjugates, malonic aldehyde, aliphatic ketondinitrophenilhydrazones of a neutral and basic character increased in patients of a surgical interference and that is indicative of an activation of the blood prooxidant system. Changes of the activity of the enzymes of the antioxidant system during on operation are manifested by an elevation of the activity catalase, glutathione peroxidase against a background of a decreases content of reduced glutathione. The prescription of glutargin during the preoperative period results in an increase of the functional renal reserve, the activity of catalase and glutathione peroxidase, contributing to a leveling of the influence of surgical stress.
