Zarubina A. Geographical foundation of formation and development of ecological network in the territory of Kirovohrad region

In the thesis there were substantiated the general strategy of formation and development of regional ecological network in the territory of Kirovohrad region: theoretical and methodological aspects of ecological network conception, adapted to regional peculiarities, are generalized; main problematic factors and possible resources within the certain region are defined; historical stages of economical reclaiming and environmental policy within Kirovohrad region. There was also proposed the regional ecological network scheme as a part of nationwide network. Defined natural cores and ecological corridors comprises the majority of objects and territories of natural-reserved fund. Territorial and functional structure of regional ecological network in terms of physic-geographical regions within the region of investigation is substantiated, a number of map schemes is created. In the dissertation there were defined the ways of landscape ecological optimization under the condition of ecological network designing and trends of efficient land use within Kirovohrad region; outlined social and economical value of this environmental strategy for the region.
