Nagornyj I. Hygienic assessment of environmental risk factors for malignant tumors of the oral cavity and pharynx and support measures for their prevention among the population of Ukraine

Object - health of population living in different social-economic and natural-ecological conditions of life activity. Purpose - to work out science-based principles and measures of prevention of oral cavity and gullet malignant neoplasms among population of Ukraine on the basis of hygienic assessment of complex of natural and anthropogenic risk factors' influence on their formation. Methods - hygienic, sociological, stomatological, medical-statistical, medical-cartographical ones. Methodical recommendations which can be used in practical activity of healthcare institutions including specialized onkological and stomatological ones were made by results of work. Novelty - modern regularities of oncological pathology of oral cavity and gullet formation under the influence of exogenous factors were determined. It makes it possible to develop differentiated principles and measures of prevention. Results of work are introduced into the educational process of institutes of higher education, practical activity of oncological dispensaries, sanitary-epidemiological stations and research institutes.
