Object - process of general learning skills formation of secondary school pupils in the second part of the XX-th century; aim - to systematize theoretical ideas and to generalize the experience of didactic games usage as a means of middle school pupils general learning skills formation for the creative use of positive achievements in present-day conditions; methods - historian, scientific, comparative and correlative; novelty - complex historical and pedagogical analysis of the problem of the formation and the development of didactic games usage for middle school general learning skills formation in the second part of the XX-th century has been first accomplished, beginnings of didactic game usage as a means of personal skills formation are elucidated, the ideas of native and foreign scientists on the theoretical principles of didactic games as a means of teenagers general learning skills in the second part of the XX-th century are given, the stages of the ideas of the development of didactic games usage as a means of middle school general learning skills formation are substantiated, positive pedagogical experience of the given period as for application of didactic games for the formation of general learning skills of middle school pupils during the lessons and extracurricular activity is generalized, methods of the progressive ideas use in modern conditions are defined; results - the development of the special course "Didactic games usage with the purpose of middle school pupils general learning skills formation: history, theory, experience" for the students of higher pedagogical educational establishments and for guidelines; field - pedagogy
