The dissertation research deals with the problem of developing of reflection for future music teachers in the process of study of Ukrainian choral sacred music, where the noted phenomenon is interpreted as a social psychic process, that executes self-regulation of personality in the process of professional development and foresees the orientation of her consciousness on the own experiencing of works of art, which arise up on the basis of perceptible cognition and allow to manage personality values. Criteria, indexes and levels of developed reflection are defined for prospective music teachers. Methods and techniques of work with Ukrainian choral spiritual music are exposed which assist developing of reflection for prospective music teachers.
