In the thesis analyzed (in particular on the basis of comparative analysis of legislation of Ukraine and the laws of some foreign countries) and defined the concept of financial services, made the author's classification of financial services. Defined the concept of "financial intermediation". Undertaken analysis of the legal status of financial institutions in Ukraine. But the necessity of creating legal preconditions for a universal financial institutions. Investigate the legal status of self-regulatory organizations in the financial services market. Practical recommendations for the reform legislation of Ukraine on the financial services market, including the systematization and its adaptation to EU standards.
