The dissertation is devoted to research of genre-stylish features of V.G. Korolenko art prose. In work the complex analysis of genre system of art prose of the writer is carried out for the first time. Typology of genres of a sketch, sport story and story with the account both formal and substantial components of the works are developed. The genre of an art sketch is submitted by such typological versions as lyrical, lyrical-psychological, lyrical-philosophical sketch. In small prose of V.G. Korolenko. There are two types of sport stories, such as story-sketch and story-novel and also pere au works, whose genre is impossible to define (fantasy "Shadow"). The interest of the writer to folklore genres (fairy tale, legend, parable) and their genre synthesis in there creativity is marked. V.G. Korolenko's prose here are genre versions of he store, sueh as social, psychological and philosophical story. The specificity of a genre nature of sketches, stories and stories of the writer, namely, their polygenre character is revealed. A characteristic of his creativity is the tendency to polygenres. The main motifs of art prose buy V.G. Korolenko are characterized, their functional role in products of the writer also is determined. Motifs of a road and the meetings carry out mainly structural and plot forming function. The motifs of freedom and "of a sincere enlightenment " define the genre contents of the art texts. The features of composition construction of the writer is works and the most widespread composition means, typical for art prose of V.G. Korolenko are analised. In composition structure of his works the writer, as a rule, unites art, documentary, and publicistic structural elements, using method of "framework" and " the story in the story ", genre - insert and author's dipressions. In a style manner of the writer's prose there are found reflection of traditions of the classical literature (products N.V.Gogol, I.S. Turgenev, L.N. Tolstoy, F.M.Dostoevskiy), as weel as the traditions of his contemporaries - V.M. Garshin, G.N. Uspenskiy. Specificity of style system of V.G. Korolenko inclueles synthesis of various styles and style tendencies - realism, neoromantciism, impressionism, and also elements of naturalism and sentimentalism. Characteristics of the writer's style is a dialogue, which is reached due to introduction of a figure of a hero - narrator. The author individualizes speech of the narrator, using not normative and emotionallg - exspressive lexicon. In a style manner of the writer the lyrical basis dominates and is traced both at substantial, as wele as at a structural level of his works. The important component of individual style of V.G. Korolenko is humanistic and optimistic pathos, which is reflected in ideological - figurative system of his works. The main concept of the given work is the notion of genre and style synthesis as basic principle of poetics of V.G. Korolenko, which finds expression at all levels of his artistic system.
