Essay

The dissertation is concerned to cerebral venous violations in chronic cerebral ischemia and the use of venotonics in treatment of this disease. We diagnosed and established criteria for cerebral venous violations through the evaluation of qualitative and quantitative indicators of blood flow in great cerebral vein, internal jugular veins, central retinal veins, and cerebral arteries by transcranial duplex ultrasonography and eсhoophthalmoscopy. Dilatation of the brain third ventricle, increase velocity and two-phase blood flow in the basal veins of the brain, dilatation of internal jugular veins presented at all patients as sings of cerebral venous circulatory insufficiency. Additional criteria of cerebral venous violation are increase the maximum velocity in great cerebral vein more than 20 cmps according to transcranial duplex ultrasonography of brachiocephalic vessels and two-phase blood flow in the central retinal veins according to echoophthalmoscopy. Effectiveness of venotonic treatment of cerebral venous violations with chronic cerebral ischemia has been proven. Was used diosmin 1200 mg daily for two weeks.
