The dissertation deals with the complex scientific research of the administrative-legal principles of the reformation of the departmental education of Ministry of Internal Affairs as a factor of increasing professionalism of militiamen. A concept, place and role of the departmental education in the process of training of militiamen are determined. The administrative-legal status of a higher educational establishment of Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine is investigated.
