Gusarova T. Pharmacognostic study of fruit of Symphoricarpos albus and development of medicines on their basis

Тhе dissertation is devoted to study of biologically active substances (BAS) in fruit of common snowberry (Symphoricarpos albus (L.) Blake). The system phytochemical study of fruits was carried out. The qualitative composition and quantitative contents of the basic groups BAS in fruit of Symphoricarpos albus (L.) Blake were investigated. 16 Substances were isolated from fruit of Symphoricarpos albus (L.) Blake. 17 Aminoacids, 18 macro- and microelements were qualitatively and quantitatively determined. Loganigenin and a new iridoid called glucologanin were isolated from fruits of Symphoricarpos albus (L.) Blake for the first time. The complex method to obtain the infusion from fruit of Symphoricarpos albus (L.) Blake was developed; the acute toxicity, antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory and immunopotentiating activities of this infusion were ascertained. The drafts of methods to control quality for "Common snowberry fruit fresh", "Common snowberry fruit dry", "Infusion of common snowberry fruit" were developed.
