Ruban O. Epidemiologic features of viral hepatitis В and С among patients with pathologies of the hepatobiliary system and other digestive organs

The dissertation is devoted to studying the regularity and trends of the epidemic process of hepatitis B and C in Kiev, their spreading among patients with chronic diseases of the alimentary organs; developing the ways to improve the effectiveness of epidemiological control. Under the modern circumstances an epidemic process of hepatitis B and С in Kiev is characterized by widespread; the tendency to the reduction in the incidence of acute forms of infection, against increasing in the incidence rate and prevalence of chronic liver disease; changing in the dominant modes of transmission of pathogens; leading role of latent component. Risk factors of patients' contamination in the medical institutions of noninfectious pathogens profile of hepatitis B and C were identified. The ways to improve the effectiveness of the prevention and anti-epidemic measures for hepatitis B and C in the region were scientifically grounded.
