The object of research - the process of control and definition of wear parameters for locomotive wheels rolling while being used. The subject of research - allowed parameters of locomotive wheels crest wear. The results of the research are devoted to the issues of increasing of service life of locomotive wheelsets by a rational choice of acceptable parameters of wheels wearing.
