Essay

The research object is the process of plastic deformation of thermoelectric alloys by drawing, the research purpose is to enhance quality of thin thermocouple wires obtained by cold drawing and to study the influence of drawing process technological conditions on the finished product qualitatively and quantitatively; the research theoretical methods are mathematical and applied theory of plasticity, theory of deformability; the research experimental methods are visioplasticity, metallography analysis, determination of electro-physical properties by probes, experimental data have been processed by methods of mathematical statistics. Regularities of plasticity margin restoration for plastically deformed thin wires of thermocouples with intermediate annealing are obtained theoretically. Technologies are developed for obtaining a thin wire out of such thermocouple alloys as chromel, constantan and binary nickel-molybdenum system, which assure high quality of thin wire surface and stability of thermo-electric properties. The research results have been adopted in production of industrial thermocouple temperature sensors in Ukrainian industry and in learning process of the Ukrainian high schools. The results are applicable in heat-and-power, energy, chemical, oil-processing and other industries.
